Woh intezaar nahi asaan, khatm jo na ho paye...

तुमसे दूर इस शक़्स का, ना पूछो क्या हाल है;

कुछ ऐसे सवाल है, जिनके दर्दभरे जवाब है;

कल के चाँद से पूछो, हम रात भर जागते रहे;

हाँ, पता है, सुबह होते, तुम इंतज़ार करोगे;

वो इंतज़ार नहीं आसान, ख़त्म जो न हो पाए;

हाँ, पता है, सुबह होते, तुम इंतज़ार करोगे;

Talaashti nigaahey...

जिस राह पे है हम, ग़ज़ब की भीड़ है;

So Light... So Loved!

“Rhea, Rhea… Where are you?”
Called her mom, for the 4th time;
Only to be met by silence.

Silence accompanied little Rhea.
Under the bed, in the darkest corner.
Sad, Scarred.

Santa never shows up, she realized.
Crying in the verandah, late one night.
Shaken, Heartbroken!

Backbencher, Rebel, Loner, No-Good,
In library, searching answers in books.
Wondering, Wandering.

“Fight, no flight, no freeze” she thought.
On the stage, pretending to the bravest.
“Fight, not flight”.

Love she loved, but wasn’t destined.
Lone on a bench, with loose wrist.
Drained, Drenched.

Couldn’t fit in. She wasn’t meant to be.
Kept working, to keep busy.
Busier than a bee.

Ya, she couldn’t fit in, but, hey, she tried.
Weddings, kids, family, pets, cooking…
Sucked, Sulked.

She loved rains, her eyes did too.
Insomniac, she rain-walked.
“So cold”, she cried.

Self travels, timeouts, all she’d do.
For her, there was someone too..
…Her Solo soul.

Her fragile heart that, beat her, beat last.
Atop mountains, at last, there she was.
So Light, So Loved.

It might be all worth, in the end, who knows?

Main Jogan...

Main jogan ban chali, Tere Khumaar mein;
Main fasaana ban chali, Tere qaraar mein...

Ishraaq se shab tak, tasawwur se lab tak;
Main nagmaa ban chali, Teri chaah mein...

Na chaahe fursat, bass ek muhobbat;
Main deewani ban chali, Teri talaash mein...

Phir na ho furqat, rahe sirf barqat;
Main zeba ban chali,  Teri widaad mein...

Akhaaz se abb tak, aur qazaa tak;
Main ibaadat ban chali, Teri muraad mein...

Sukoot-e-Shab

Sukoot-e-Shab mein bhi, Woh kahaa soti thi?
Ek puraane khalish se, Dil-Shikastah woh roti thi.

Iss Aalam ke tareeko ka, idraak usey tha kahaan?
Habeeb ki talab liye, woh rahti gum gashtah.

Kaafir, awaarah jaisey, ilzaamo pe woh hasti thi,
Ishtiyaaq wala dil liye, Maftoon woh chal padti thi.

Qudrat ki thi shafaaqat, Ya ibaadat me uske zor tha;
Ek Farishta ek khwaab sa, Uskey ab ru-ba-ru tha!

Sukoot-e-Shab mein abb, woh be-fikr soti hai;
Farishton ki koshish, Shayad ye hi hoti hai….

Rahey hum ajnabi, Sirf ajnabi.

Thes pahunchane waley toh, humesha mere apne hi they,
Ab sochte hai, buss gairon se hi, Hoti Rahe mulaqaatey.

Ajnabi Rahey ajnabi, Na pehchaan agey badhey,
Dil ke Kareeb, Na hum bulaye, Na wo pahunchey.

zakhm-e-zindagj, us khamoshi mein dafn Rahe.

Buss ho muskuraahate, jashn mein us pal ke.
Gham agar aana bhi chahe, to laut jaye palat ke.

Baad is mulaqaat ke, tanhaai me laut aye.
Ek chaadar aisi odhe, ki sote rahe, buss sote Rahe.

Connect… a true “Connect”!

You belong to this world, we all do!
You find people, just people all around.
From morning to evening to starry nights through dawn.
…Family, relatives, neighbors, acquaintances, strangers, friends, a date….

But all that matters in the end is one true “Connect
When you find someone you truly “connect” with, you’ll just know it.

True “Connect” needs no words, no conversations.
No masks, no best behavior, no justifications.
Sometimes, not even familiarity, or congeniality!
But, when you find someone you truly “connect” with, you’ll just know it.

It’s not about being in love, or attachment, or attraction.
In fact, a “Connect” may be totally without any relationship.
When nothing matters & when you really don’t need a “Sign” …
Attachment, detachment, proximity, distances… doesn’t matter,
When you find someone you truly “connect” with, you’ll just know it.

Just a deep eye contact, just one simple conversation,
Just one sip of tea, or a glass of wine,
Just a handshake or a warm hug,
When you find someone you truly “connect” with, you’ll just know it.

A long lost friend, you reconnected with,
Your first love – failed, but not really forgotten,
Or a perfect stranger you ended up chatting with,
When you find someone you truly “connect” with, you’ll just know it.

Stay in contact or choose not to,
Fall in love, or choose not to,
Be happy ever after with, or choose to let go,
But, when you find someone you truly “connect” with, you’ll just know it.

When Sands left the hourglass behind

When Sands left the hourglass behind,

A timeless journey took over.

A journey so picturesque that destination didn’t matter.

And for once, in the open space, time didn’t matter!

As destination didn’t matter, directions were many;

Though directions were many, decisions didn’t matter.

For every decision chose a path, without much ado;

And every path so picturesque that destination didn’t matter!

With the hourglass left behind, time too, was history,

Pains of Past were history, and so it didn’t matter!

As a timeless journey began, every moment was ‘present’,

Present, they say is a Gift; So, even future didn’t matter!

On its maiden voyage, every sand particle was elated,

As it left the hourglass behind, the Sands were truly liberated.

For, again the sands were blown by the wind – as untamed as mind…

The Sands gained a new identity, by leaving the hourglass behind!

Busy Lives!!!

Why does our life get busy?
What happens when our lives get busy?
Do we have any control over our very own lives?

Why does our life get busy?
When priorities change in life; that is when life start getting busier.
And life remains busy until we think we have done enough for that priority… and of course until we nominate yet another ‘top priority’!
Well… once we get our passion set, our world revolves around that goal.
And nothing seems to be even half as important as that priority – not even self!

What happens when your lives get busy?
24 hours for a day runs short.
Time management – appears just a mere management term!
you are unable to do anything you think you should be doing; Be it contacting friends, calling up family members or even taking time for self. Everything else in life takes a back seat … except the current top priority!
NOW – the next question is …
When we dedicated all the time we have with all our might; to our ‘Top Priority’ – sacrificing everything else in life – Does it guarantee ‘peace of mind’ thru ‘sense of achievement’? Unfortunately – not always!

Do we have any control over our very own lives?
Ahh! That’s a question or it’s a symbol of confusion?
Many people say… that’s a question – a starting point of ‘Spiritualism’
Question? Confusion? Spiritualism?
....
Sorry
...I can’t cover that here... U see… I’m leading quite a busy life!!!

A Gerbera-Morning!!!

A Gerbera-Morning!!!

Though I woke up late,
I felt pretty fresh -
*As fresh as a dew drop* Well... as always!

I felt the cold breeze
caressing my hair,
while laying on bed
With open window near!

Soon after I woke up -
"OH WOW!" I said...
I found my favorite Gerbera
-in both - Yellow & Red!

"Gud Morning" said we^ gently to each other
& we knew this day
Wasn't just another !!!

Tired of remembering you!!!

In morning, it’s the first thing I do
& later a zillion times I remember you!
In laughter, in pain, when crazy, when sane…
all that occupies my mind,,,, is you !!!
In dreams, in real, when peaceful, when feared….
all that occurs to me … is you !!!
I find it funny, oh but it’s true!
Memories come haunting to make me blue…
Gosh! I’m so tired now
… tired of remembering you!!!

When I’m wiped off your memory…
Why should you flood mine?
Why can’t it be real
when I say “I’m Fine!”?
When they say ‘Time is the healer’…
Why, until now my wounds are fresh?
It just keeps getting worst,
While I try my best!
with such a disturbed life…
Where’s the peace when I rest?

Yes, I find it funny, but it’s true!
Memories come haunting to make me blue…
Gosh! I’m so tired now
… So tired of remembering you!!!
Why can’t I, now, be remembered by you?

Mercy Death

Don’t in today’s world we treat clinical depression with the same importance as that of physical ailment? Don’t we suggest our friends/family/acquaintances to seek professional help even if we gauge a dash of disturbance even if that’s on emotional level?

If you answered positively to any one of the above stated questions; then did you ever ponder on this: Why is “Mercy Death (Mercy killing)” confined to patients with overwhelming physical pains? And why is a well planned ‘suicide’ by someone who’s tried & tested every possible counseling and medicines – rated as ‘sinful’ or ‘crime’??? Death is more or less a deep sleep which relieves one of all the physical, emotional, spiritual sufferings. This is what leads to the ‘Mercy Death”! Isn't it?

All those seeking professional help are accepted by society (well, more or less); then they are also accepted & admired for their bravery n will-power while they are on medicines/observation/therapies…. In worst cases of irrevocable ailments, everybody still shows acceptance to the “Extreme” measure of “Mercy Death” ….. But ya! This holds true ONLY and ONLY if the dead or to-be-dead is suffering physically….
No consideration is given for those with unbearable mental or emotional pains! WHY?

If we say we belong to a modern democratic society – which respects individual space – then why this society rates the decisions taken by an individual as “Extreme or hasty or right or wrong”? Do they even have the authority to do so? What role this society played when the person in question was suffering? If a person’s life is said to be his/her business, so is his/her death! (Remember – “It’s my life” – stance?)

If I get killed in accident or mishap – I get all the sympathy, consideration & acceptance from everyone. But if I choose to end my life – it’s seen as a “Crime” – so bad that even the insurance companies refuse to pay my nominees the hard earned money that I have been investing with them all my life! Leave alone the reactions from normal people (including my life-long friends/family/acquaintances!

Why can’t we accept or at least attempt to accept “Suicides” by matured, normal, thoughtful adults (who have obviously exhausted all the possible measures on this earth) as “Normal”? Esp. on grounds similar to that of “Mercy-Death” theory???? WHY?

शब-भर रहे इंतज़ार तेरा , शब-भर इसी तलब में जगना;

एक ऐसी ही हसीं घड़ी - जब तू मेरे साथ हो;
